Hiding Fallen Flowers with Our Unique Flower Trap!

You’ll never need to worry about fallen bits of flower, and your bouquet can age gracefully and peacefully.

One of our biggest hurdles in framing is cleaning frames before shipping. As we were figuring out how to make our wood pressed flower frames, different types of spacers and retainers offered a variety of benefits in workability and availability, but we continually faced this problem of tiny fallen specks of flower that would require us to disassemble, re-clean, re-assemble. And of course with shipping, a fallen seed or fluff from a piece of grass is likely to become dislodged too - if we put glue on every piece the whole thing would be a good of Mod Podge. We take a lot of care to make sure that no big blooms will drop, but in the event a small piece does fall, we don’t want you to be stuck looking at a bunch of little specks collecting at the front of your frame. Enter innovation, at For Keeps Florals. We sourced a unique product called FrameSpace when designing our custom wood frames, as a permanent spacer installation that helps us seal the front and rear pieces of glass in your frame.

One added benefit that we discovered with this new product, was the ability to easily build in this flower trap to catch any little droppings that might occur during transportation or hanging. (If a bigger piece falls - which does occur about 1-2% of the time - contact us for assistance) Pictured at the bottom right, this small gap in the spacer is invisible from the front, still sealed behind our invisible wood backing, and allows small pieces of dust of flower that might fall to remain hidden behind the moulding of the frame and out of sight forever. If a small piece falls, you’ll tilt and gently tap until the piece falls into the flower trap, the tilt the frame the other way and the specks will slide underneath the spacer and disappear out of sight. You’ll never have to disassemble your frame or worry about keeping it clean again!
