At For Keeps Florals, we use both acrylic and glass for our pressed flower frames. Our smaller frames us glass on the front, and a thinner flexible acrylic in the back. This is because the smaller frames do not have a massive weight with the glass, and the frame manufacturer we use for this budget friendly option makes a specific style of frame and backing mechanism that work best with these thinner materials. Our larger pressed flower frames - including the square pressed flower frame, round pressed flower frame, and all others above 14” minimum measurement - use museum grade acrylic front and back with a UV protective face. We chose this option because the depth of the custom frame allows us to have a thicker material, weight is more of a factor with these larger sizes, and the big frames become much more shatter proof and shippable when using acrylic. We use UV protective seven though it’s a little more expensive, because we want to ensure your flowers last as long as possible.
